Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) stars Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marquinhos among others visited Aspire Academy on Monday morning as organized by Qatar Tourism.
The PSG football team arrived in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar host country on Sunday as a part of its promotional tour.
The PSG stars interacted with a group of influencers at the Aspire Academy followed by a short and quick skills challenge.
“It’s important to have an Academy like this,” said France’s 2018 World Cup-winner Mbappe. “The environment here is not only great but exciting too as the modern infrastructure speaks a lot about the Academy’s dedication and philosophy.”
After wrapping up Academy visit, the players joined their team-mates during their visit to two of the FIFA World Cup stadiums.
The recently-crowned French champions for the tenth time, the PSG took part in a series of events organised with the club’s partners present in Qatar, such as ALL, Aspetar, Ooredoo, Qatar Airways, Qatar Tourism and QNB. On Sunday, the French side visited Sidra Medicine and interacted with the patients and staff.
The Aspire Academy was founded in 2004 to provide top-class coaching aided with best sports science and methodology training to student-athletes.
