Aspire Academy’s Director of the Football Performance and Science Department, Professor Valter Di Salvo, was among the high-profiled guests invited to address the Web Summit Qatar 2026.
The gathering brings together celebrities, renowned business leaders, and some of the world’s leading tech founders, investors, policymakers, and innovators.
The Professor was invited by the Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council (QRDI) to participate as a speaker at the summit.
He provided valuable insights as part of a high-level roundtable discussion on “Rethinking Technology Deployment: Emerging Adoption Models from the Living Lab Ecosystem (LLE) Perspective.”
Professor Di Salvo took the opportunity to share Aspire Academy’s experience in adopting advanced technological solutions within elite football performance environments.
He highlighted both the positive impact and the practical challenges the Football Performance and Science Department faces as it implements innovative technologies developed through the Qatar Open Innovation (QOI) program, in-house initiatives, and collaborations with external partners.
The panel was moderated by Johannes Jaeger, Vice President for Asia and the Middle East at Agorize, and also featured contributions from Jason Loh, Founder of Piece Future, and Karina Fernandez, General Manager of Emerging Digital Technologies at Shell.
