ASPIRE ACADEMY’S KORANI IMPRESSES AT WOLRD TABLE TENNIS YOUTH CONTENDER EVENT IN EGYPT

Aspire Academy student-athlete Ahmed Korani reached the semi-finals of the under-15’s event at the World Table Tennis Youth Contender event in Egypt.

 

The 14-year-old also reached the last 16 in the under-17’s category at the event which ended on Sunday in Cairo.

 

Korani was one of five Aspire student-athletes who made it through the group stage in the under-15’s to qualify for the main draw.

 

Another 14-year-old Rawad Al Naser also took part in the two age groups as he reached the round of 16 in the under-15’s and the last 32 in the under-17’s.

 

In the main draw of the under-15’s Sultan Al-Kuwari reached the quarter finals, while Yousif Ahmed Abdalla and Mohammed Al-Saluati lost in the second round.

 

Aballla, 13, also reached the last 16 in the under-13 category while Al-Saluati, 12, once again lost in the second round of the main draw.
