Aspire Academy graduate Osama Al-Tairi has been voted the Qatar Stars League (QSL) Under-23 Player of the Season.
The Al Rayyan Sports Club midfielder won the accolade ahead of two other Aspire graduates, Al Arabi’s Jassem Gaber, who was part of Qatar’s World Cup squad and Khaled Mohammed Saleh of Al Duhail.
Al-Tairi, who graduated from Aspire in 2020, played a total of 12 games in the QSL, scoring twice and weighing in with two assists for his team.
Khaled Mohammed Saleh was part of the Al Duhail side that won the QSL title while Jassem Gaber helped Al Arabi win the Amir Cup.
He follows in the footsteps of another former Aspire Academy student-athlete, Al Gharafa’s Homam Al Ameen, who won the award in 2021 and 2022.
