ASPIRE ACADEMY CHALKS OUT SUMMER TRAINING CAMPS FOR ITS STUDENT ATHLETES

Aspire Academy has announced out summer training camps for its various sports teams, who will be based in various cities around the world from June 24 (Friday).

The fencing team will have its base in France from 24 to 27 June followed by the junior squash team’s Germany and the Netherlands tour (June 28 to July 11).

Abdullah Al Tamimi, who delighted the home crowd after he won the Qatar Squash Federation’s #3 PSA Challenger title by beating second seed Leonel Cardenas in the final on May 24, will undergo training in the US (August 3-28).

Another squash star and Aspire Academy graduate Syed Azlan Amjad will be based in Pakistan capital Islamabad (August 19-28) for his summer training.

The table tennis team members will fine tune themselves at a training camp in South Korea (June 27 to 20 July) before taking part in two important tournaments -- West Asia Championships (26-31 July) and ITTF Competition in Amman, Jordan (August 24-29).

Meanwhile, some of the athletics camps which are currently underway include jumps (Sweden and Spain), sprints in Spain, and throws in Poland and endurance in the United Kingdom.
