KAS EUPEN AND FC BAYERN MUNICH WOW FANS DURING MATCH AT ASPIRE ACADEMY

Doha, 11 January 2017. Aspire Zone Foundation owned football team, KAS Eupen provided German Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern Munich FC with worthy competition during a friendly match played on Wednesday 10th January night at Aspire Academy. KAS Eupen who play in the Belgian Pro League kept the reigning German champions at bay for almost the entire first half during an entertaining match which marked the end of FC Bayern Munich’s week long winter training camp at Aspire Academy
The Bundesliga record champions broke the deadline on the stroke of half time and went on to add four more goals after the break. Aspire Academy graduate student and Qatari national team player, Fahad Al-Abdulrahman played in his usual left back position for KAS Eupen said after the match, “Going into this game our focus was not on the result or score line but putting together a credible performance and l am pleased that we did that and took the game to Bayern especially in the first half. I have been motivated and inspired after competing and holding my own against top players like Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski and Franck Ribery. We have all been motivated and encouraged for the second half of our Belgian Pro league season after this game against one of the world best football clubs and that’s good for KAS Eupen” said Fahad.
The German club heads back to Munich after completing a week long winter training camp at Aspire Academy, while KAS Eupen whose training camp runs until the Sunday 15th January return to the playing field at Aspire Academy on Thursday 12th January night in another friendly match against Shanghai SIPG with kick-off scheduled for 20.00hrs Qatari time
