Winter and Summer Training Camps
During the winter break between academic semesters and at the end of the school year, all ASPIRE sport programs conduct international training camps. During this period, when students have time to travel without missing classes, each sport program seeks a country with excellent training facilities and teams that are among the top junior sports programs in the world. Key to student-athlete development in the Middle East, a region without a strong sports culture, is being able to schedule competition that will test and stretch the skill levels of ASPIRE student-athletes. Often these camps are scheduled leading up to major regional or international competitions and, at times, are conducted as joint programs with Qatar sports federations’ junior national teams programs.
ASPIRE takes pride in being able to surround traveling student-athletes with teachers who plan cultural activities, or help students study for required exams, and support staff members, such as physiotherapists, |

Training camps are also a time to have fun, solidify relationships with teammates, and experience an education and a measure of supervised independence as an international traveler. Careful planning ensures that athletes are able to experience historical and cultural wonders of new countries, practice travel etiquette and practice communicating in foreign languages.
